Subject: [PW!] Cinnabar Island's Halloween Roast
Date: Monday, November 01, 1999 4:08 PM
It is late afternoon. The sun is setting on the horizon in Cinnabar
Island, creating a beautiful landscape on the beach.
Robert, dressed as a Bug Catcher from the Viridian Forest, runs towards
the northern beach on Cinnabar Island, his large net tugging Rilli, who
is dressed like a Butterfree, along. It is the third time he's been to
this particular beach on his Pokemon Journey. He doesn't remember exactly
what happened the first time he visited, since he got terribly drunk, but
he remembers that the second time was quite a blast - except for a minor
snag when a Pokemon thief snatched some of his Pokeballs. He hopes that
this time there will be no problems, but has gotten used to expecting the
worse after having so many misadventures! Once he arrives at the beach,
Robert looks around, and Rilli goes off to explore on her own.
In the center of the torch-lit beach, a giant roast pig is being cooked
over a large bonfire. Robert is relieved to see that it's a pig and not a
Primeape since he is a strict animatarian - he doesn't eat Pokemon. Two
large wooden outhouses with glittering stars painted on them provide a
place for visitors to change into their costumes. The beach is decorated
with confetti, streamers, fake spider webs, and even more gruesome
decorations, such as skeletons and severed human body parts. Robert tries
to avoid looking at the ground so that he doesn't feel sick to his
stomach, and instead focuses on the all-Pokemon band that was present for
the other two late night celebrations on the Island. They are in
disguises this time.
A Marowak wearing a skeleton costume is banging away at a drum with his
two bone clubs. Next to him stands a Primeape dressed as cotton swab - a
large blue pole sticks out of his head. The Primeape is skillfully
playing a Xylophone. To the other side of the drum-playing Marowak stands
a Mahamp dressed in a ninja costume, using all four hands to play on a
standing keyboard. A Wartortle in drag and a Seel wearing Groucho glasses
both have trumpets hanging from their mouths. They stand in front of the
Marowak's drum set and a Poliwag wearing an Ash Ketchum hat is standing
in-between the two, a tiny flute resting in it's mouth. Surprisingly,
they play frightfully haunting music rather well!
Robert sits down at one of the tables and watches as the costumed
residents and tourists on Cinnabar Island dance around to the music being
played by the all-Pokemon band! On occasion, he stares off towards the
distance, wondering when the rest of his friends will arrive. After about
a half-hour of waiting, they show up, but not in their costumes yet...

Robert smiles, enjoying the cheerful environment. He rests his chin on
the palms of his hands and stares at the large wooden outhouses that act
as changing rooms, wondering what everyone's going to dress up as. The
people present are Jon, Damian, Christy, Julia, Purgatory, Keith, and a
skateboarder wearing a Marowak costume. Robert wonders if Sarah Jane,
Runt, Felix, Kirsty, and Dustin will eventually show up, "Maybe they just
want to surprise us by showing up in awesome costumes so that no one
recognizes them... or maybe they just have no Halloween spirit. Spirit?
Hey, that reminds me!" Robert grabs his first Pokeball and releases his
Haunter, who he feels will enjoy this particular party...
"HAW HAW HAW HAUNTER!" Robert's purple Haunter circles Robert's head for
a while, soaking up the ghastly environment, then speeds off to find his
girlfriend so that they can both play tricks on all the silly humans
present!
