From: Spawn <nmvds@aol.computers> Subject: [PW!] Counter Earth: Let's get this tournament over with already [ATTN: All Involved] Date: Wednesday, November 17, 1999 11:50 PM Standard Disclaimor: This story is a pseudo-NC. Meaning that absolutely nothing in this story will affect anyone except from Steve Fugues in typical continuity of PW!. This story has Steve traveling to an alternate dimension. As such, he will be affected. But no one else will because their existence in this dimension is completely independent of their existence in the rest of PW! "What was the purpose of this tournament again?" someone wondered. "There isn't one," said Giovanni. "Oh." The members of Team Rocket, in disguise, had traveled to Viridian Forest to compete in an official Pokemon League Tournament. It was hard to say whether this test could actually determine one's worth as a trainer. But the person in charged seemed to think it did. And he was the one in power. So who was anyone else to argue? After an hour or so of sweating it out, everyone finally handed in their tests. Minutes later, the scores were tallied and everyone was paired up with either a gym leader or another trainer. The elite four and Gary eagerly awaited the new trainers they would eventually compete against. "Well, now that we've got that part over with," said Icy, "I would like to say a few last words…" Icy glanced at his notes as he began to prepare his next speech. The audience was hanging on his every word. "Ahem," he said, "as I was saying…" But he would never have the chance to finish. Because he was so focused on his speech that he failed to notice the figure sneaking up behind him, holding a wet Magikarp in hand and ready to strike... *********** TBC -Spawn To reply, remove "puters" from the e-mail address.
