He's not too hot with the books, but he still gives it his all. But can he make the grade? "This is impossible. I don't see why I need to know all this junk just to be a pokemon trainer. Aghhhhhhhh." He throws the book to the ground. "I'll never pass this test. But I have to; otherwise I'll be kicked out. Then what? My parents would kill me if I fail another exam." Frost knows a bit about training pokemon, but as far as general knowledge goes, he was at a loss. "I can't study anymore tonight. Time for bed." Frost crawls into bed and closes his eyes. Hopefully he'd get at least a passing grade on the final tomorrow. "WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WA." the clock stopped after breaking on the ground. "Stupid alarm clock. Oh no, I gotta get ready." Frost grabs his books and bag and darts out of his room. "Gotta get to class. Ougf." He falls to the floor after running right into another student. "Oh. What hit me?" "You loser, watch where you're going." The kid Frost ran into was one of the smartest and strongest students there. His name is Cid. He always got straight A's and never lost a battle. Frost cowered back after picking up his books. It wasn't a good idea to pick a fight with Cid. "Sorry, ummm, gotta run, cya!" Frost took off, running as fast as he could to class. "Please write you name at the top of the paper. No talking from here in. Please write your answers on your paper next to the number. Let's begin. Question 1. What two types of pokemon have only one known evolutionary sequence?" "WHAT!" Frost thought. "What does that have to do with anything?" Meanwhile, Cid had already come up with the answer. The instructor continued the exam. By the end, Frost had gone through almost 10 pencils. "Please let me pass, please let me pass, please..." "Hey Frost, how did you do?" It was Tara. She had sorta a crush on Frost but he never had much time to do anything but study. They went to the grade board. Tara quickly found herself high up in the ranks. "Oh no. I'm dead." Frost found his grade. He was realived he wasn't the lowest, but he still failed. "I am so dead." "Frost, are you alright?" "NO! I failed Tara. They're going to kick me out for this. It's just not fair." "Frost, maybe the books just aren't for you. You're good at battles, why don't you travel around and get the badges." "You're right Tara, but Seel isn't going to cut it. What I need is a really strong pokemon. Hehehe." "Frost, you aren't going to do anything rash are you?" "What ever gave you that idea? I'm just going to borrow something." Frost kissed Tara goodbye. It may be the last time he'd ever see her beautiful face again. "I'll steal a ghost type pokemon from the storeroom. Ghosts are the strongest type, I'm sure to win." Frost turned on the lights in the storeroom. No one was anywhere's near the place. "Great, now's my chance." He found a pokeball with a Gastly inside and ran off. "Yes, I'll show them all now. I'll get even one day." Frost could only smirk to himself as her ran off into the forest. Confident that he could become a master himself, he heads for Pewter City.
