They soon ran into trouble though, Beedrills attacked! They got away, and Nicky and Kelly went one way, Meeko the other. They promised to meet each other in Vermilion City. Author's note: Yep, Frosterfree gave me Kelly and Nicky. " Eevee vee ev... ( I think Nicky likes Kelly... )" said Mars. " ( What makes you think that? )" asked Venus. " ( Look at him! )" Mars exclaimed. Nicky was walking a little ahead of Kelly, but always glanced back at Kelly quickly. " I, Shorts Kid, challenge you!" he jumped out of the bushes making everyone fall back. " But I thought Meeko said you guys were called Shorty!" Nicky yelled. " And what was the point of scaring us?" Kelly asked. " ^.^; I didn't mean to scare you lady. And, that guy called Shorty, is our insane brother O.O;;; Do you accept?" " Yes, you can't beat me!" Nicky yelled. " Go, Slowpoke!" " o.O; Meeko has one of those, and it isn't the brightest Pokémon in the world." the Shorts Kid shrugs. " Go, Vileplume, Sleep Powder!" the Slowpoke was hit by blue powder, but stood standing. " Ha! Slowpoke, Amnesia! Slowpoke?" after a few seconds it fell asleep. " Ag! Return, go Shellder!" " Shellder!" it cried. " Vileplume, return, go Kakuna!" " Kakuna? Heh, Shellder, Tackle will deal with this wimp!" but Nicky returned it before anything could be done. " Now for the REAL deal!" Nicky looked over his shoulder at Kelly. " ( See? )" Mars pointed out. " Go, Blastoise!" the giant turtle looked at it's opponent and grinned. " Shellder, Ice Beam!" " Blastoise, Hydro Pump!" it pulled it's head back and then brought it forward revealing two guns out of it's shell, it then hit the Ice Beam with water, the water melted the ice. " No! Shellder, Withdraw!" but it was too late, Blastoise used Skull Bash. " Pidgey, it's up to you!" " Go Kakuna!" " Again? Pidgey, Gust!" but, once again Nicky returned his Kakuna. He glanced back at Kelly and winked. " Go Pigeot!" the higher evolution used Dive Bomb and the Pidgey fainted. " No, go Rattata!" Nicky once again released his Kakuna, then called it back. " Go Sandslash! Use Slash!" the Rattata fainted. " Go Raticate!" " Kakuna, again!" Kakuna was called out, but this time, he didn't recall it. " Raticate, Focus Energy, then, Hyper Fang!" the rat glowed and then Hyper Fanged the shell of Kakuna, but, the hole that had been made glowed and grew bigger until a Beedrill came out. " Beedrill, Poison Sting!" it flew down and poisoned the enemy rat. " Yes! Two in one deal!" " Great good at handling your Pokémon Nicky!" Kelly clapped and Nicky blushed. The Shorts Kid walked away sadly. " ( See? He blushed! )" Mars said. " Keep quite!" Nicky covered Mars's mouth.
