Last time, Mike battles Lt. Serge in Vermilion, and put a shock through him! With nothing to do for the PODA, Mike is on his way to Saffron City to earn a Marsh Badge. Of course, maps aren't really reliable at all times... "Ok, the map says there is a straight path right here, but I am standing in a quadruple fork in the road!" Mike shouts. "One of these roads has to lead to Saffron City, but I can't check them all before it gets dark! Hmmm, I know! Scyther and Beedrill, I choose you!" Mike shouts. Scyther and Beedrill fly out of their pokeballs and Lewis says, "You two scout ahead on two of the raods, then come back and tell me if one of them leads to Saffron!" Mike commands. Scyther and Beedrill took different paths. Two hours past. Scyther and Beedrill returned almost simoultaneousely, and Scyther pointed one of his blades at the road he had gone through. "Ok, You guys need a rest, return Scyther and Beedrill!" Mike says. "Well, here goes!" Mike shouts. It was about 9:00 PM that Mike ran to the lights of Saffron City. "Oh yeah! I'm gonna get another badge! Yay! Yay- Aaaaaah!" Mike shouts as he clutches his head in pain. FLASHBACK: The creature was slowly falling towards the roof of the Silph Co. "Do not do this, I beg of you!" the creature shouted. Mike could not describe it. All he felt, was that it was like fear and terror itself. "Nothing can stop it now!" Icy shouts. "Have pity on me!" the creature begged while it started to evaporate. "We have pity on you." Mike said. "Goodbye, (&^$^&(Mike couldn't hear the word). It hasn't been pleasant." Lewis said. *END FLASHBACK* Mike stood up with his heart pounding. "What's happening to me???" Mike demanded. Mike ran down the hill to Saffron city, and his next adventure.
