"Great, now to win my first badge." "Excuse me young man. Are you thinking of challenging the great Brock?" "Great? Last I heard this guy's they worst gym leader there is. I'm going flatten him." "Confidence isn't what wins boy, it's skill and strength. You'll see." "Whatever." The old man walked away while Frost made his way to the Pewter Gym. "Onix go!" "Horsea, bubblebeam attack now!" "Oh no!" "Yes! I win, I win!" The little boy runs over to his proud Horsea and Brock hands him the Boulder Badge. "Thanks Brock." "No problem. Good luck on your journey Timmy. Ok, I'll take the next challenger in just a few moments." Frost was next in line. "This is it Gastly. I'm going to win that badge and then I'll be on my way to becoming the greatest trainer. Better than those idiots back at PokéTech." Gastly frowned upon hearing the name. Frost had definitely done a good job in convincing Gastly that PokéTech had abandoned him. "Ok, who's next?" "I am." "And who are you?" "My name is Frost. I've come here for a Boulder Badge." "Fine. You've arrived at the place where a Boulder Badge can be won, but that shall be decided by our match. It'll be 2 on 2, I choose." "Wait a sec." "Huh?" "Oh, never mind. Go Seal!" "Geodude go!" "Seal, horn attack." "Geodude, counter attack!" Seal's horn attack barely harmed Geodude. Geodude took a few swings at Seal and fainted it. "Oh no. Seal return. Gastly go!" "A Gastly!" "Yeah, you got a problem with that?" "Not at all. Geodude return. Vulpix go!" "Gastly, ummm, hmm. What are Gastly's attacks again." Frost couldn't remember everything from his classes. "You don't even know your pokémon's attacks?" "Shut up, I know what I'm doing. Gastly, acid attack!" Gastly fired acid beams at Vulpix but was just too slow. "Vulpix, flamethrower now!" Vulpix's intense heat caused Gastly to vaporize and the match and battle went to Brock. Fireworks shot off from around the gym and news reporters began swarming towards the gym. "Hey look, Brock won!" Suddenly, dozens and dozens of news reporters were asking Brock for interviews. "Hey you." "Huh? "HA, you lost to Brock? Boy, you must not be a very good trainer." Frost clenched his fist hard. "Unless you want to make till tomorrow, you better shut that camera off and hope I never see your sorry face again, got it?" "Hey, take it easy. Wahh!" Frost threw the reporter to the ground. "This sucks." Frost walked away from the gym in dismay. Meanwhile, Brock was the center of attention. Even Officer Jenny was starting to fall for him. To Be Continued.
