For there running directly beside Jack, was the level 59 Rattata that had been guarding the community the Rockets had been planning on setting on fire. Jack smiled, realizing with great intensity that the Rattata was planning on doing serious harm to the Rockets and thier pokemon, as was Jack. The first pokemon that Jack met up with was the Weezing, which was a breeze to beat beacause simply hung in the air using Smog continously, so Jack just jumpkicked the stupid Weezing and knocked it out of the sky. Meanwhile Rattata defeated Vulpix almost as easily as Jack had dealt with Weezing. Rattata used Hyper Fang, just as Vulpix tried to get out an Ember, with no luck. Next Jack fought the Ekans. All he had to do was pound it with his fists, and the Ekans was a goner. The battle went on like this for what might have been an hour. Finally, Jack and the Rattata had defeated all of the Rockets' pokemon. "You... You..." one of the Rockets stammered, trying to find just the right words to say. "You fought our pokemon, willing to throw yourself into the battle, probably just to put up a win against Team Rocket." The Rocket grinned, stretching as mouth so wide Jack thought it crack. "You are definitely that Professor Pogoson's kid. The boss warned us that anyone killed in that raid might chase after Team Rocket. And with a vengeance. Of course, you may have defeated us in a pokemon battle, which by the way means only pokemon fight, but that doesn't mean that you've beated us. Get him, Bruce!" And then the strong man stepped forward and prepared to attack Jack and the Rattata. "Attack the rat first!" yelled one of the Rocket girls. And so Bruce did.
