"Hello", Adam groaned trying to wake up fully. Finally noticing his alarm clock was going off. Victreebel! Victreebel! Victreebel! then a 5 second pause. Victreebel! Victreebel! Victreebel! "Shit!!!" screamed Adam as he noticed he was an hour late. Dad is going to roast me in a Flareon pit." While rushing to get around he signaled for his pokémon to follow. He figured his dad would be steamed at him for being late... as usual. < 15 minutes later > "Hey dad", Adam gasped trying to catch his breath. "Looks like you ran all the way here", looking at Adam half amazed. "Sorry I'm late. "I ran as fast as I could." "To tell you the truth soon I guessed you'd be late so I set your clock an hour ahead." "Whew! I thought I was going to roast in a Flareon pit. "I wouldn't roast you in a Flareon pit. What do you think I have this Charizard for." < Charizard roars > "ROOOOOAAARRRRRR!!!!!!!!!" "... oh", he said nervously. "Anyway the reason I called you down here is because today is when you begin your Pokémon adventure. I had you come to the shop to give you some essentials. I already put your supplies into this backpack." Adam looked into the backpack. He found: 6 pokéballs 5 potions $1,000 1 pokédex and 5 strange looking cards "Hey dad what's this", as he picked up one of the cards. "Its your PokéNet card. Put it into any video phone and you can contact the PokéNet database. You can store and learn about a pokémon's information, talk on a poké chat, and other stuff here on the computer. Oh! and before I forget. If there is anybody you want to have a Pokécard you just give them one of those other four cards or send them over here and I'll give them one. And remember, its good on any video phone." "Thanks dad", he said as he left the store. Adam was walking home for lunch when he was attacked by a Rattata. Quickly Adam sent out his Mr. Mime. "GO!!! Em & Em. Em & Em ran out from behind Adam and got into his battle stance. Rattata started the attack with Quick attack. Rattata got a successful hit and caused Em & Em to fall over. "Mime Mime Mr. Mime," shouted Em & Em angrily "Em & Em, Confusion attack!!!" commanded Adam. "Mi Mi Mi Mime" Em & Em hit the Rattata with his confusion attack. Rattata had fainted due to it being a low leveled pokémon. After the battle Adam rushed the Rattata to the Pokécenter to bring it back to full health. "Excuse me Nurse Joy, could you take care of this Rattata." "Sure, replied Nurse Joy. Bring him over here." Doing what the nurse asked Adam brought the Rattata over the the table < half hour later > "All done. Here is your pokémon Adam" "Oh, its not mine. It just popped up and wanted to battle" "Well this Rattata likes you so it seems," giggled Nurse Joy and she watched Rattata do a happy little dance. "Here you go Rattata, a pokéball to call your own. Rattata return!" Rattata went inside the pokéball. "See you later Joy, Adam yelled as he ran out the door." "You too Adam, Joy waved back. < Back at the Poké Pawn Shop > "Dad! Dad! I caught my first pokémon," Adam said beaming with joy. "Good for you son. What is it?" "Go Rattata!" Rattata appeared. "A Rattata. Good for you son. You had best take that out of here before Charizard notices. (Too late) "ROOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRRR!!!!!!!" < Charizard appears > "CCCHHHHHAAAAARRRR!!!!!" "Ra..ra...tta..ta..." Rattata runs out of the building. "Come back Rattata," screams Adam chasing after Rattata. Narrator: What else will happen to Adam on his journey.
