He had three new Pokémon secreted away in his many pockets: a Nidoran(M), a Ratatta, and a Nidoran(F). "Now I've got myself a crop of rodents." {Hey! I resent that!} Sparq squeaked indignantly. {How dare you compare me to that Ratatta?} {Well, you technically *are* a rodent,} Pyre growled. {And he has every right to do so, as your trainer.} {Who asked you?} {No one. I was merely...} {Then butt out!} "Guys, guys," Chuck said soothingly. "Calm down. You don't need fight over piddly stuff like that." He turned to Ray. "So, what's our next destination, Navigator?" "Well, if you're looking to earn badges, it's Pewter City," Ray said, checking the GPS he had installed in his Pokédex. "Otherwise, we *could* head back through the Forest and get a badge back home." {Are you nuts?} Pyre asked. {Trying for your EarthBadge first?} "Well, some people do," Ray said. "We don't have any Pokémon who can take on their Earth-types anyway," Chuck murmured. "Come to think of it, we don't have anyone who can take on Rock-types either. How we gonna win at Pewter?"
