Now if you want a chance at unimagineable power, you will follow me. said the voice. Then, the rockets came towards him and saw Rainer, buised and battlescared after his loss to Mewtwo at Mt. Moon.The two were horrified at the sight of Rainer, but followed him because of his words.Then, they could not stand it anymore, and commanded their pokemon to attack.Then, as the two leapt forward, Rainer used four of his many tentacles to slam them all against a rock."Do not be foolish.", said Rainer."Here is a temproary effect of what power you could have."In one of his tentacles, Rainer held up a small shard of the destroyed power crystal, and then, took the pokeball for Jack`s sandshrew, placed the shard in it where it floated, and commanded him to recall sandshrew. he did as he was told, and when he released the pokeball again, the crystal floated abck to Rainer, and Sandshrew evolved into a sandslash before his eyes. not only did it do that, but Rainer` built-in pokedex indicated his levels were ring by the second. as he reached level 70, the sandslash slashed a boulder in half.Then, when it gained a few more levels, the effects wore off, and he saw still a sandslash, but a level 26 one. The same effect happened on venomoth, and then venomoth returned to normal."Now that you have seen but a fraction of the extent of power you may be able to have, will you follow me?" They both nodded yes, and Rainer released his grip on them. "Now listen carefully, you pathetic humans.", said Rainer as he carelly collected dust fragments from the shard and put the dust inside their pokeballs."This dust will keep them as strong as they are, at level 40, which even this small piece has been able bring them up to.I shall deposit you exactly one mile ahead of Repticus`s current position, and that is where you shall set up an ambush for him, is that understood?", said Rainer. The two rockets were too scared of Rainer to speak, so they both nodded yes. "Good, then I shall take you there...now." Then, in a few seconds, they flew over Cerulean city, and to the location Rainer suggested. "I shall expect to see you again in one week.You had better not fail me.", said Rainer as he dissapeared. "Are we actually going to listen to that junkpile?", said Kathy, who was still cautios over what they were doing. "We don`t have a choice, considering what he said about failing.", said Jack. Then, they busily began setting up an ambush. meanwhile... "So,you ran into a bunch of shorts kids, and they challenged you to a match for all that money?", said Araya as she and Repticus were walking out of Cerulean. "Yes, that is correct, and very fortunate for us." then Repticus was about to continue, until he smelled something. "I think there is danger up ahead, we should be cautious.", said Repticus. "Well, we`ll see what we come across, and if there is danger, our pokemon will protect us.", said Araya, having no idea of how right she was.
