From: Susan <dragon0313@aol.commies> Subject: [PW!] Afraid of heights?[ATTN Anyone in Cerulean] Date: Monday, December 20, 1999 5:54 PM Mandy was shot for the day. While Ron was beating Brock she'd gone for a race against Ember, a really stupid thing to do. "Never try to outrun a Ponyta," she thought, gasping for air. Ember, needless to say, won. They walked back to the gym (Mandy hobbling) and met Ron at the door, carrying Amaranth who had wanted to stay inside. His two new caterpillers walked on either side of him, each looking jubilant. "You won (gasp), I take it?" wheezed Mandy. Ron didn't answer, but it was obvious he had from the TM in his hand. Wordlessly everyone walked to the Pokecenter. By that point Mandy managed to catch her breath. "Mount moon tommorow then?" "I don't want to go through Mount Moon. We should take a Pigeot." Ron considered what he'd just said. "If they aren't too expensive, anyway." "They aren't. I hate flying. I did it once and nearly fell off." Mandy glared at Ron. "And I won't do it. I won't be talked into it, either." The next morning... "...AND ANOTHER THING. IF I EVER GET DOWN FROM HERE I'M GOING TO RIP YOUR EYES OUT AND FEED THEM TO YOU!" These words were barely audible against the wind, from atop a Pigeot. "DON'T BE SO MAD. EMBER HELPED ME!" Ember had carried Mandy, still sleeping, to the Pigeot express office. Ron hired a Pigeot and held her so she wouldn't fall off. It was a big Pigeot anyway, she probably wouldn't. After they'd climbed a bit Mandy woke up pissed. After a while the pidgeot landed in front of the Cerulean pokecenter. Ron thanked and tipped their ride, then ran like hell. Mandy released Ember and mounted quickly to chase him. She let Amaranth out of her ball next. Placing the oddish on her lap she sighted her target and had Ember stop. "Okay, Ammie, use your vines to tie him up! But hold on to him!" Amaranth complied and held the trapped boy from her position on the stopped ponyta. "Great job! Now put him in that tree over there," said Mandy, pointing to a tall tree that Ron probably couldn't get down, even with the help of his pokemon. "We'll get you down after breakfast. Or lunch." She grinned evily. Ron got the feeling that he was being justly punished, but wished that there weren't so many people gathered 'round. -Susan, Jedi Hamster Official WDTSF Spontaneous Vocalization Specialist; Director of Unexpected Screaming.
