He then decided to finish getting the other badges he needed to get into Pokemon League, and is going to go to Fuschia City to get the soul badge. To get there, he is going to go through Celedon City. He is now almost to Celedon City. ------------------ Shock was walking along the path towards Celedon. He was alone. There was not a single person in sight, which Shock understood, since it was Christmas Eve. Most trainers were probably with their families, having a good time. Shock was not having a good time. It was really cold, with the wind chill at about 10 degrees. He wrapped himself tighter in his thin clothes, and walked a little faster along the route. In about 25 minutes, he should be reaching Celedon. Since he thought he was alone on the path, Shock was very suprised when a young girl jumped out from behind a bush. "Hey!" She cried, "Want to battle me?" "Sure," Shock said, "I'll battle you." "Great!" She cried, "I choose you, Kikyou!" She threw a pokeball a few feet in front of her, and a Bellsprout popped out of the Pokeball. Shock took out a pokeball, and threw it onto the ground. His Kakuna popped out of the Pokeball. "Kikyou, wrap it!" The girl cried out. The Bellsprout extended two roots from its feet and wrapped it around Kakuna. Then it started to tighten its hold on Kakuna. "Kakuna, harden!" Shock cried. He watched as Kakuna flashed and its defence grew. After it had raised its defence, Shock called it back into its Pokeball, and called out Nidorina. "Kikyou, Vine whip, now!" The girl cried. The roots that had wrapped up Kakuna now extended again, and started whipping Nidorina. "Nidorina, scratch it, now!" Shock called out. Nidorina ran up to the Plant Pokemon and clawed it in its face. Since Bellsprout was weaker than Nidorina, the Bellsprout fainted and the girl trainer called out her next Pokemon, a Growlithe, whom she called Inu. "Inu, bite it," the girl cried. The Growlithe ran up to Nidorina, and bit it. Shock, getting bored with battling, and his author, getting bored with writing a pathetic battle, decided to call back his Nidorina. He then called out his Kakuna. As soon as Kakuna was let out of its Pokeball, it started to glow. It turned white, and started to change shape. It grew wings, and two points on its newlly grown arms. It had evolved into Beedrill. The Girl, who had also grown bored with the battle, since she had the same author as Shock, called back Inu and ran up to Shock. "It evolved!" "Yeah," Shock said, "I've been waiting for it to evolve." The Beedrill started flying around in circles, testing out its newly grown wings. "But it probably still only knows harden," The girl said. "Oh, by the way, my name is Jourou." "My name is Shock," Shock said. "Well, I have to get going. I want to make it to Celedon before it gets dark." "Oh, really?" Jourou said. "I'm heading to Cinnibar. Do you want to come with me, at least until Celedon." "Sure," Shock agreed. ----------------- Almost half an hour later, Shock and Jourou arrived in Celedon City. They headed up to a local hotel, and rented two rooms, that had a connecting door. Then, since it was Christmas Eve, Shock and Jourou headed out again to see the sights of Celedon, neither of them telling the other that they had both been there before.
