Saffron city was bustling with activity. Everyone was talking about Team Rocket. For once they had done something legal. They had set up an oil factory near by. Now there were two Oil companies in Saffron. Silph oil ltd. and Rocket Fuel ltd. That can't be good, thought Caleb. He was right. Apparently Silph co. had been losing Oil recently. Police had investigated but had found out nothing good about Team Rocket. " Maybe I should have a look?" Caleb asked his Pokemon, Doppel and Cubone. " ditdit ditto!" Doppel bounced about. " Cu..." Cubone agreed. " Ok, you're right. I'm just gonna relax," Caleb sighed. I wonder what I can do now I'm here... Caleb looked around. He made his way down the street. Two figures watched him pass. " Oh no! Not Caleb, he ruined our plans before," James was nearly hysterical already. " Yes, the boss won't like this," Jesse seemed to agree. " Why? Why must we tell him?" " If we don't he'll kill us you stupid human!" Meowth stepped up and smacked James in the shin. " Ow!" " Let's get inside," Jesse ordered. Caleb looked at the gyms. He didn't have any badges. He'd never bothered. Maybe he should try? Why not... Caleb entered the main gym. " Huh? It's full of teleporters!" He was confused. He stepped onto a teleporter pad. The room he appeared was small and in contained more teleporter pads and another trainer. " Oh hello! Say, I don't recognise you from around here, are you new?" " Um..yes, sort of. I'm new everywhere," Caleb smiled. The trainer smiled bach. " Oh yeah, we're supposed to fight!" She sent out Haunter. Caleb sent out Doppel. Doppel transformed into another Haunter. The enemy Haunter used confuse ray and confused Doppel. Doppel used Nightshade and hurt the enemy Haunter. It was impossibel to tell how much, because ghosts don't generally show pain. The Haunter used hypnosis but it failed. Doppel used hypnosis and put the Haunter to sleep. The Haunter slept like a baby. Doppel used dreameater and fainted the enemy. Caleb patted Doppel, but his hand went strait through the ghost. " Doppel go back to normal!" Doppel turned into his normal pink blob. " Oh, you're good!" Caleb stepped on another teleporter pad. He appeared in front of Sabrina. " Oooh, a new challenge. Ooh, an attractive challenge....sorry dozed off for a second,"," " Wha-?" " Never mind, let's battle..." She sent out Kadabra. Caleb sent out Cubone. Cubone swung his bone club. it hurt Kadabra but not much. Kadabraused psychic and Cubone nearly fainted. Cubone used Bonemerang and KOed Kadabra. " Cu...bone..." Sabrina sent out Mr.Mime. " CU!" Cubone growled at Mr.Mime. Mr.Mime tried Double slap but missed. Cubone smacked it with his bone club and Mr.Mime was badly hurt. It tried to punch Cubone, but Cubone lept to the right and brought it's bone up into Mr.Mime's stomach, knocking it unconscious. Sabrina used Venomoth and Cubone threw his bone. It span towards Venomoth, but Cubone missed! Venomoth tried stun spore but Cubone was unafected. Cubone's bone smacked Venomoth in the back of the head. Venomoth used Stun spore again, Cubone was paralyzed. He managed to throw his bone again before he was completely frozen. It smacked Venomoth in the head and it fainted. Sabrina sent out an Alakazam. Cubone nearly fainted there and then, but Alakazam used Psychic and Cubone fainted then. Doppel rolled along and transformed. Alakazam used Psychic but it wasn't very effective and Doppel used Psybeam. Alakazam stumbled backwards and began to levitate above Doppel. Doppel used Psybeam again but Alakazam moved nimbly to the side. Alakazam used recover and became stronger. Caleb nearly shot it, but he isn't alowed to help in trainer fights, let alone shoot the enemy. Doppel was strong. He began to over high and blasted two Psybeams at Alakazam. Akakazam dodged one but got hit by the other. It fell fro, the sky and fainted. Doppel smiled and landed gently before turned into his old pink self. Cubone smiled slightly as it awoke. A wide smile spread across Caleb's face. " Oh wow, that's impressive! And this was your first gym fight? Hmph ok here's your badge," She handed over the marsh badge. Caleb pinned it to the inside of his leather trenchcoat. He smiled and turned away. Sabrina shook her head as he left the gym. " CALEB? HERE! DAMMIT! He has ruined our plans twice before. If he ruins this one too..." " Yes sir, sorry sir," Jesse and James shook as their boss waved his hands about frantically. " Ok, desperate times call for desperate mesures... Get out of here you fools and get me Carver, he can deal with Caleb..." Jesse and James nodded and shuffled out of the building. Who is Carver? Why hasn't Cubone evolved at all?
