With a small, unintrusive flash, Mithril-rama materialized from Sabrina's
teleport. It took her a few seconds to realize what had happened. It took a
few more seconds for her to recognize her surroundings. Then another few
seconds to figure out perhaps why Sabrina had sent her here. Rilli groaned.
Celadon Game Corner. The place where everything... well, *started* for her.
After being trapped in the rubble from a strange attack, she had silently
decided to herself to never set foot in the building again. Not willingly, at
least. Then, she met her friend Quethiril again for the first time in years...
the last time too, she recalled as her mood darkened.
"Excuse me, miss, but if you don't work here, we must ask you to get out from
behind the counter," a clerk spoke up from his cash register. "And would you
like to buy some coins?"
Rilli shook her head absentmindedly as she quickly made her way out to the main
floor of the casino. Of course, she had met Robert soon after the ordeal, so it
wasn't all bad. Speaking of... where WAS Robert? He should have been
teleported with her... presumably. Then again, knowing Sabrina, this would be
just the kind of thing that she would pull. Rilli walked briskly down each
aisle of clanking machines in hopes of finding a familiar face, but there was no
such luck among the crowded seats. She finally settled in an empty corner to
catch her breath, panic rising slowly but surely.
"If Robert's not here, he could be anywhere in the world... and there's no way
I'm gonna be able to contact him or anything." We should have set up some
meeting place in case this happens, Rilli fumed silently to herself. But of
course who would have guessed that this would happen? Maybe it would help if
she had help from her pokémon to search for Robert. After all, it (sorta)
worked last time, didn't it? She picked a pokéball from her purse and tossed it
to the ground. "Haunter, I need you to--" she blinked as she sized up the ghost
before her. "Whoa, what happened to you?"
Haunter shrugged awkwardly and patted its bloated body. "Hawnt," it moaned,
sounding not completely healthy.
"That doesn't sound completely healthy," Rilli decided. "We should get you to a
Pokémon Center and see what's wrong. Can you walk--well, float? It's a bit far
from here..."
"Haunter..." the feminine spirit shrugged again. Rilli sighed and recalled it
back to its pokéball. "This may be a bit uncomfortable, but it'll be faster."
She began jogging in what she hopes is the correct way to the Pokémon Center.
-----
Mithril-rama paced back and forth uneasily in the waiting room of the Pokémon
Center. Nurse Joy had taken one look at Haunter and whisked her away. When
Rilli asked one of the Chanseys about the ghost, the nurse pokémon made an
"okay" sign with her tiny fingers and waddled away. Rilli could only hope that
meant good news.
However, her pacing right now was not entirely out of worry for her Haunter.
Rilli was busy trying to figure out how to deal with a missing Robert--again.
Well, there was only one thing she could think of to do, even though it probably
won't help the situation much. She went to the computer and quickly typed up a
letter.

In the unlikely event that you actually check your e-mail, I'm in the Celadon
City Pokemon Center. Either come meet me here, or arrange some place where we
can find each other. Hurry!
- Rilli
"Congratulations, miss!" The musical voice of Nurse Joy turned Rilli's head as
she pressed the "send" button. "Your pokémon has given birth to a healthy egg!"
"G-Given birth??" Rilli felt faint for a moment. "To an egg?"
"You may visit her if you'd like." The pink-haired nurse smiled and gestured to
a Chansey, who led Rilli down the hall to one of the rooms. Her Haunter hovered
just above the bed, cradling a light purple egg on her stomach (or what would
pass for it). Her grin was even wider than usual as she cooed to her newborn.
"Good job," Rilli giggled as she sat down by the bed. "Looks you and your
boyfriend really got busy huh?" Haunter pantomimed hitting Rilli with a pie,
then went back to tending her egg. Her trainer smiled and reached out to pat
the egg, but her hand passed through the gastly substance. "Well, now I really
need to get Robert and his Haunter here. This is big news!"
