Looking at his PokeDex, which had a built-in map, wondering where they should start first. He decided on something easy. After landing in Vermilion, Jordan saw a poster on a wall. It said, "Buy A Ticket For The S.S. Anne, Battle With Trainers Around The World!!!" Jordan asked if Rain wanted to go, and Rain nodded. After buying a ticket (which I must say, was extremely over-priced) peddled his bike to the S.S. Anne. Trainer after trainer, the single Sandshrew won them all. Some battles harder than others, but a win is still a win. After a quick stop to the Pokemon Center, they jolted over to the Vermilion Gym. Upon entering, they heard a loud crash. Then a blinding light surrounded the arena. Then Lt. Surge towered over them. He said, "Are you sure you want to face me, the great Lt. Surge???" Jordan replied, "Yes. And with one Pokemon, too." Lt. Surge roared with laughter. After 5 minutes of a hearty laughter, Surge said, "Good luck, you’re going to need it." Surge grabbed a Pokeball from his belt and yelled, "Raichu, beat this kid!!!" "Rain, GO!!!" yelled Jordan, who had just teached Rain the TM Dig. Raichu assembled a huge bolt of lighting. It was so huge it made Jordan’s hair stand on end. Raichu then released it with a RRRRRRRAAAAAAAAIIIICCCCCHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUUU!!! The lights flickered. Rain was just standing there, like nothing had happened. Rain then flew at Raichu, with a fury of swipes coming at Raichu like bees at a bear. Raichu was stunned. Surge yelled at Raichu to Body Slam Rain. A moment before impact, Rain dug into the ground.
