"Okay, now we'll find out who your first opponent is," the receptionist announced. She wheeled yet another monitor in front of Kyle. This monitor showed the face of a person Kyle did not know. The receptionist hit a button, and this new monitor cycled through a collection of faces for several seconds before stopping on a random face. The final face looked awfully familiar... "Ah! Your first opponent will be Vincenzo Larufa." Kyle facefaulted. "Argh!!! How do I keep running into that egocentric jackass? How?!" "You've whooped him in Pokémon battle before," Jessica pointed out. "You can do it again." Kyle had his doubts about that. That victory against Vincenzo had only happened because of Espio's evolution. Kyle sighed heavily. "Off to the Ice Field. Let's get this over with..." The receptionist pointed toward a sign showing where each of the four arenas were. "Please hang on to Cathode for me, Jessica," Kyle said, removing the blue Pikachu from his head and handing it to his girlfriend. "He seems to like you." Then Kyle, Espio, and Thanatos headed for the Ice Field. --K * A * R * N * I * V * A * X-- "Our wretched society is so made that those who walk on the well-trodden path always throw stones at those who are showing a new road." --Voltaire Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
