He could remember seeing such tactics on those Fox Kids shows that feature Japanese TV footage spliced together newer American scenes. He could wonder why, at this very moment, he could parry a flaming sword from H-E-double-hockeysticks without it melting the cheap plastic weapon he now weilded. He wasn't, partially because he was too busy fighting to notice. At the moment, he was wondering about how to end this battle. He didn't have enough salt to create a Circle of Protection for the lot of them. His Pokemon probably would help, but he wouldn't have time to direct them. There were a variety of tricks he knew how to do, but he didn't have much practice with them. As he knocked back one Wigglyimp and faced another, he decided to give one of those tricks a shot. Out of his pocket, he pulled out what appeared to be a bookmark with Japanese writing on it. He could never remember what they were called, but he knew how they worked. He charged it with spiritual energy and lashed out at one of the Wigglyimps. "JAPANESE BOOKMARK THINGY ATTACK!" he called out. He slapped the strip of paper squarely between the creature's eyes. "[OW!]" the Wigglyimp cried out in Poke-speak. It reeled back a moment, then steadied itself. It took a look at what Smasher hit it with. "[A BOOKMARK!?]" exclaimed the demon. "[YOU HIT ME WITH A BOOKMARK!? WHAT KIND OF FOGGIN' ATTACK IS THAT!?]" "Okay, that didn't work," Smasher repied. "Anyone else got any bright ideas?"
