Subject: [PW!][League] Rock field rumble: Lewis vs. Karen
Date: Friday, December 10, 1999 5:41 AM
Last time, Lewis through a victory party for Meeko, himself, and Mike.
Now he is on the rock field ready for round two of his Pokemon League
adventures.
Lewis walked onto the stadium red trainer's box. "The red trainer,
Lewis, from Saffron City has entered the arena! His fans are cheering
for him in this battle after his stunning battle on the grass field two
days ago. Now we're wating for his opponent Karen to appear." the
announcer says. Suddenly, the green trainer box rises with a girl in
it. She had red, flowing hair, and wore a green vest over a white T-
shirt and blue jeans. The flag guy looked at Lewis and Karen, raised
his flags and said, "Let the battle begin!"
"Marowak I choose you!" Lewis shouts. "Dugtrio, you're on!" Karen
shouts. Dugtrio and Marowak come out onto the field. "Dugtrio! Slash
attack!" Karen orders. "Marowak, counter with bone club!" Lewis
commands. Dugtrio comes up and slashes Marowak, who quickly knocks
Dugtrio on it's second head with it's bone. "Dugtrio, dig
underground!" Karen orders. Dugtrio digs into the ground. "Marowak!
Try to stay high!" Lewis orders. Unfortunately, Dugtrio comes and
knock Marowak right into a rock. "It looks like Marowak is just no
match for what Dugtrio is best at: diggging." the announcer says.
"Marowak is unable to battle, victory to Dugtrio." the flag guy says.
"Marowak return. Graveler, you're on!" Lewis shouts.
"Begin!" the flag guy says. "Graveler, tackle attack!" "Dugtrio, slash
attack!" the two trainers shout. Graveler tackles Dugtrio, sending him
back. "Dugtrio, dig!" Karen commands. "You too, Graveler!" Lewis
shouts. Both Dugtrio and Graveler went underground. "It looks like
Lewis' Graveler also knows dig, so it looks like this battle has gone
underground!" the announcer shouts. Both trainers waited for one of
the Pokemon to come back up. Suddenly, Dugtrio is seen flying right
into a rock! Graveler jumps back up from the ground. "Dugtro is
unable to battle, victory to Graveler!" the flag guy says. "Dugtrio,
return! Sandslash I choose you!" Karen shouts.
"Graveler! Earthquake attack!" Lewis shouts. Before Sandslash could
attack, graveler started hitting into the ground, causing an earthquake
to rise! "Oh no! Sandslash, return!" Karen says. "It looks like
she's down to her final Pokemon! What Pokemon will Karen use to battle
Lewis' Graveler?" the announcer asks. "Go, Nidoking!" Karen shouts.
"Nidoking, horn attack!" Karen shouts. "Graveler, rock slide!" Lewis
shouts. Graveler rams himself into Nidoking, sending him into some
rocks. "Finish it off, Graveler! Use your strength!" Lewis says.
Graveler begins to accelerate into Nidoking... "Surf attack now!"
Karen shouts. Nidoking jumps up and a massive wave of water come out
and hits Graveler and the rock field! "It looks like Karen has managed
to teach Nidoking a water attack! And surf has certainly turned the
rock field into the mud field!" the announcer says. "Graveler return!"
Lewis says.
"I'd better choose a water Pokemon now- hey! I must've left the rest
of my pokeballs at the party! Well, all I have left is this one...
Try your best, pokeball go!" Lewis shouts. Magneton appears on the
field. "It looks like a desperation move here! Magneton's electricity
won't effect Nidoking!" the announcer says. "Still try, Magneton!
Thunderbolt attack!" Lewis shouts. Magneton fires it's thunderbolt at
Nidoking, who barely feels it. Nidoking counters with another surf
attack, making the ground more wet and Magneton seem a bit more
rusted... "Hey wait a second, the ground is wet! And water
conducts... Magneton! Thunder the mud near Nidoking!" Lewis shouts.
Magneton fires a tri-thunder attack at the mud, causing the entire
field to spark electricity, including Nidoking, who faints. "Nidoking
is unable to battle. The battle and the match goes to red trainer
Lewis Lovhaug!" the flag guy says. "You did it Magneton!" Lewis
shouts, jumping onto the field to hug Magneton.
"Look at him. Two easy victories and he thinks he's won the
competition. He had better enjoy all his celebrating now, because when
his luck runs out, Lewis Lovhaug won't have anything to cheer about."
Mewtwo says, watching from the void.
