"Now entering the stadium, Dan of Pallet Town!" The cheers grew louder. "And his opponent, Green trainer Steven!" The referee stood at the sidelines. "This will be a 3 on 3 match! Let the battle begin!" ---------------------------- Round 3! Grass Field Battle! ---------------------------- "Dan has opened with Venusaur, while Steven chooses Tangela!" "Tangela, Constrict!" Tangela's vines squeezed Venusaur, but they were too weak to hold him for long. "Venusaur, use Mega Drain!" Vines extended from Venusaur and wrapped around Tangela. Tangela started to visibly weaken... "And that's Venusaur's Mega Drain attack! Tangela's energy is being sucked away and used to heal Venusaur!" "Tangela!" Steven shouted. "Return!" "Tangela has been recalled. Point goes to Dan!" Steven tossed out another pokeball, and out came... "Steven has recalled Tangela and replaced it with...Exeggutor!" "Exeggutor, use your Psychic attack!" Exeggutor's powerful Psychic attack easily overwhelmed Venusaur, and knocked him out. "Venusaur is out of the match. Exeggutor wins!" Dan growled and took out another Pokeball. "Dewgong, I choose you!" "Dan has sent in Dewgong! But being a Water type, Exeggutor can easily win this one! Why has Dan chosen it?" Dan looked down at the ground. Steven grinned and pointed to Dewgong. "Exeggutor, Solarbeam him!" Exeggutor's leaves glowed with the collected sunlight... "Haha!" Dan said, facing the battlefield again. "Aurora Beam!" "And it looks like Dan's choice wasn't as dumb as it looked! Dewgong is using Aurora Beam, an attack that Grass is weak against!" "You better believe it," Dan said, watching Exeggutor stumble back. "All right Exeggutor, release the beam!" "Ice Beam, now!" Dan said, quickly. Both beams fired at the same time, each trying to fight back the other. Suddenly, there was a flash of light, and both beams disappeared. "Quick, Dewgong! Aurora Beam!" Exeggutor was too worn out after firing the Solarbeam, and Dewgong's beam hit him head on. "Exeggutor is out of the match! Dewgong is the winner!" "No..." Steven said. He took out one more Pokeball. "You're my last chance...Parasect, go!" "And it looks like Steven's chance in this match all relies on this Pokemon, the Mushroom Pokemon Parasect!" "Parasect, Spore, now!" Dewgong couldn't hope to stand up to the powerful sleep spores, and was soon in dreamland. "Now Slash!" Parasect's powerful claw dug into Dewgong, and quickly defeated him. "Dewgong is out! Parasect wins!" "And Dan's pokemon falls to a combination of Spore, the most effective sleeping power in the Pokemon World, and Parasect's powerful Slash!" "Clefairy, it's up to you now." Clefairy leaped out onto the battlefield, and assumed a fighting pose. "Parasect, Leech life!" Parasect walked over to Clefairy... "Mega Punch, now!" Clefairy's Punch damaged Parasect...but the fist landed in Parasect's mouth. Parasect began sucking Clefairy's energy away. "Doubleslap with the other hand!" Parasect let go of the weakened Clefairy... "Metronome, now!" Clefairy waved his fingers...and then spit out many small flames...the Ember attack. "Clefairy's Metronome has produced an Ember attack, which has burned Parasect!" "Use Spore and Slash!" Sleep spores were released from Parasect's mushroom, and Clefairy dozed off. Parasect then raised a claw, and slashed Clefairy. "Clefairy!" Dan yelled. "Get up!" Clefairy opened his eyes and slowly got up. "Parasect, finsh him off with a Solarbeam!" Parasect's mushroom glowed with sunlight... "Metronome!" Clefairy weakly waved his fingers, then glowed brightly... Parasect's beam was released, but another beam shot from Clefairy, and flew right through the Solarbeam! Parasect flew back, then collapsed. "Parasect has been defeated! Victory goes to Dan and Clefairy!" "And Parasect is finished off by a surprise Hyper Beam attack, making Dan the winner! Another incredible match!" Clefairy dropped to the ground and sat, exhausted from the battle, and that final Hyper Beam, which took almost all of his strength. "Come on, Clefairy," Dan said. "Let's get to the Pokemon Center.
