Lewis, Mike, and Bridget found some old friends there, who were also participating in the tournament. Lewis was set up to battle Atoshi, and thanks to Charmander's rage, he was able to win a great victory on the grass field. Then more recently, Mike battled on the water field against Gads Tristan. Gads's Drowzee managed to send Dragonair into multiple personality syndrome, but with some loud shouting and a surf attack, Dragonair defeated Drowzee. After that, Gad's Tangela wrapped up Dragonair for a moment, but Dragonair got really pissed and used hyper beam, sending Tangela flying. Finally up was Gad's Jigglypuff, who blasted away Dragonair! Next up was Mike's Kabutops, whp Jigglypuff decided to draw Kabutops. Jigglypuff snapped out of it, and took down Kabutops and with only one Pokemon left, Mike chose Scyther. Scyther at first refused to battle, but because of what it heard about Kabutops and Dragonair, he quickly managed to defeat Jigglypuff. Of course, with Gads' amazing Jigglypuff, there's now a new merchandise item on the market... "We both won our first match!" Mike said triumphantly as he left the water field. "Don't get cocky. They say first rounds are usually the easiest, but this gets harder each time. You two should have your Pokemon spar a little to gain experience and prepare for the next rounds." Bridget said. "Bridget, you really know how to get a person down about winning." Lewis says. "We're going to hold a victory party! We'll invite Gads and his friends too, in fact, let's invite everyone!" Meeko suggested. "Hey look over there." Nicky said. The group saw about 50 kids huddled around Gads and Sketch, his Jigglypuff. They were all holding little notepads. "Why do they want his autograph? I'm the one who won." Mike said. "Like I said before, don'y get cocky. People think that that Jigglypuff is amazing." Bridget replies. "Yah... Maybe my Jigglypuff might want to meet Sketch." Lewis says. Lewis' baby Jigglypuff climbed onto Lewis' shoulder and waved to sketch, who waved back. "Hey Gads! We're holding a victory celebration and we're inviting everyone, you want to come?!"
