From: Zagro <zagro@att.net> Subject: [PW!] [LEAGUE] Zagro vs. Sketch... er, Gads Date: Wednesday, December 22, 1999 6:26 PM "Welcome Poke-fans to another exciting battle on the Rock Field! Today we have a battle between Gads Trisan, who has been stealing the spotlight with his Jigglypuff, Sketch," a loud cheer goes up at the mention of Sketch, "and Zagro Petix. This promises to be an exciting battle!" The ref waved the flag, and the battle began. Gads and Zagro each reach for a pokeball. Gads acted first. "Dow, go!" "Omni, go!" Zagro threw his Pokeball, causing a Magikarp to appear. "What the... Dragon, where'd you come from?" Gads grinned. "Smooth move. Dow, let's finish this quickly. Mega Punch!" The Drowzee waddled over and hit the Magikarp, sending it flying across the field and whacking into a rock. The Magikarp's eyes narrowed, and it began to flop about. Zagro scowled. "Dragon, just die and get it over with!" "Dow, Confusion attack now!" Dow wiggled it's fingers at the Magikarp, sending thin waves of energy at it. Dragon saw the attack coming and flopped out of the way. Then the Magikarp did a small flip, and launched at Dow, whistling through the air like a missle. It whacked into the side of Dow's head, sending both Pokemon flying. Dragon landed, and kept on flopping. The ref examined Dow's prone form. "Dow is unable to battle! The win goes to Dragon!" Gads recalled Dow. "That's got to hurt; beaten by a Magikarp. A-Bomb, go! Finish the job with a Thundershock!" "Dragon, don't let him get you! ... Do... whatever who just did to that Drowzee!" Dragon flopped there. "Please?" The Thundershock rammed into Dragon, fazing him. Gads kept giving commands. "Use another Thundershock!" A couple more jolts, and Dragon fainted. "Dragon is unable to fight! A-Bomb takes the victory!" Zagro nodded. "Ah well, big loss. Now it's your turn Omni." The Pikachu appeared in a battle pose. A-Bomb started to glow. "No, A-Bomb! Use Sonic Boom instead!" A loud blasting noise sounded as a wave of sound slammed into Omni, sending him sprawling. Omni flipped back up. "Use a Thunderwave!", Gads yelled to A-Bomb. As the wave of energy shot towards Omni, Omni shot it's own bolt, shattering the wave and shocking A-Bomb. Omni leapt into the air and landed on A-Bomb, giving it a lethal Body Slam. A-Bomb's eyes closed. The ref announced the win, and another light faded from Gads' side of the scoreboard. Many of the viewers in the audiance scooted forwards in their seats, for many were sure of Gads' third choice of Pokemon. One boy in the front started chanting, "Sketch! Sketch!" The chant was soon taken up by the rest of the audiance, and it soon became a deafaning roar. Zagro nodded, ready to see the famed Jigglypuff in action, and Gads reached for his Pokeball...
