The announcers grabbed their mikes and started. "Today we have an extremely thrilling match on the Grass Field. The green trainer, Mikey, is known for his use of Eevees. The red trainer, uh... Zah-grew?" The announcer glanced at the sheet. "Zee-graw?" Zagro looked up. "That's ZAGRO! Long A, long O!" Both announcers sweatdropped. "The red, trainer, Zagro, is unknown in these circuits. Maybe today will be his lucky break." Both trainers stepped up to their platforms, and the referee stood and yelled. "Let the match begin!" Mikey pointed towards the field and yelled "Eevee, go!" An Eevee ran from offend. Zagro nodded. "We'll start off with a cuteness war. Puffers, go!" "EEEEEEVVVVEEEEeeee!!!!" Eevee spotted it's target and launched into an opening Take Down. Puffers leapt and dodged, and curled up into a ball. "And it looks like Jigglypuff is using it's Defense Curl! Can Eevee break it's defenses?" Eevee turned and followed it's prey, continuing it's Take Down. It rammed into Puffers, who bounced off, still in ball shape. It rebounded off Mikey's platform and headed straight for Eevee. Mikey called out, "Eevee, tackle it now!" Eevee rushed towards the on-coming ball, but right before the collision Puffers uncurled and hit Eevee with a vicious slap. Eevee skidded off down the field, and tried to right itself. Puffers curled into a ball, and soon the sounds of snoring were heard. As Eevee stood, Zagro yelled, "No, don't rest now! You're so close!" Eevee tackled Puffers, who rebounded into a wall and up into the air. She did a couple flips and cooed "Jigglypuff!" The younger kids in the audience cheered. Zagro rolled his eyes. Eevee, unable to reach it's target, followed it underneath, waiting for it to start falling. Puffers sucked in tons of air, becoming huge, and started to descend. Eevee looked up, and gave a short cry as it was smooshed under a giant Jigglypuff. Puffers deflated, and Eevee was revealed, unconscious. "Eevee is unable to fight!" A red flag went up. Zagro grinned at Mikey, who looked in pain at Eevee's fall. "Eevee, return! Eevee, go!" Zagro squinted. "Another? Puffers, Slap it silly!" "Eevee, Bite attack!" Puffers tried to dodge as before, but Eevee caught it in it's jaws. Like a cat playing with it's owner's homework assignment, Eevee proceeded to bat Puffers around, not letting go with it's jaws. Zagro pulled out his Pokeballs. "Puffers, return! So, it's biting you want? Nifty, attack! Hyper Fang, now!" Eevee jumped at Nifty, who bit it and scurried to a safe distance, yelling "This should be Eevee as pie!" Eevee chased after it, but Nifty was too quick for it. "Is that your best? I don't want to be here forEeveer. This isn't avery Eeveen match. I'm better in Eeveery way!" Nifty sped up and zipped past Eevee, biting it on the way past. Then it doubled back and Hyper Fanged Eevee, who fell. "Well, it's Eeveedent who's the better of the two of us." The referee called out Nifty's victory and raised a red flag. Zagro and Mikey reached for their Pokeballs simultaneously. Mikey got there first. "Eevee, return. Eevee, go!!" "I can't take your humor all Eeveening. Nifty, get out of here. Go, Omni!" Eevee and Pikachu appeared simultaneously. Eevee, like both it's companions, immediately charged Omni. Omni just stood still, waiting for the blow. Eevee tackled it, and turned to prepare for another charge, but found that it couldn't get the Pikachu off of it's face. Omni grinned at it. "Pika...... CHU!!" The electricity coursed through Eevee, and continued to. After almost a minute of this, Eevee collapsed. "Eevee is unable to battle. Victory goes to... um...?" "Zagro. Long A, long O." "Victory goes to Zagro!"
