Jason Cassidy & Sai Meilan
Jason
Age: 19
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 167 lbs.
Place of Birth: Violet City, Johto
Date of Birth: December 22 (Capricorn)
Blood Type: A+
Appearance: Jason is a tall, nondescript man in his late teens with black hair
and brown eyes. He usually wears black pants, black boots, a silvery-white
turtleneck shirt, and a black jacket. His most distinguishing feature is a scar
on his left cheek. He keeps his Poké Balls on his belt, and the rest of his
gear in a black leather backpack.
Personality: Jason is a cold, callous individual who believes that nothing is
above him and that he is superior to all others. He cares little for the
concerns of other people and for their wants and needs. He prefers to be alone,
and to shy away from companionship, believing that he does not need it.
History: Jason began his Pokémon journey at the age of twelve, setting out from
Violet City with only an Umbreon for company. Shortly afterwards, Jason
encountered the legendary Entei. His battle with the legendary beast of flame
left him with his distinctive scar and an obsession. From that day forward,
Jason promised himself that he would capture every legendary Pokémon in the
world, from the Legendary Birds of Johto and Kanto to Mewtwo himself. He has
exclusively captured male Dark-type Pokémon specifically for that purpose, but
has so far found no luck.
Recently, Jason gained an active interest in the Shiny Unown Hunt, and went so
far as to go toe-to-toe with Lynkeru and Mamuro/Yuki twice in order to capture
shiny Unown. Thus far, his efforts have met with little success. However, Jason
has recently entered into an uneasy partnership with a Duskull calling herself
Sai Meilan, one who is capable of detecting Shiny Unown. Jason, a preferred
loner, is not happy about the arrangement.
Hobbies: Jason has no hobbies. Period.
Pet Peeves: Jason cares little for anything, and generally loathes most
individuals and their petty concerns.
Abilities: Jason cares little for physical exercise, but can run very swiftly
when he needs to.
Weapons: Jason carries no weapons.
Weaknesses: Jason's entire philosophy and way of living is a weakness unto
itself, one that may well cost him his life...

Occupation: Pokémon Trainer
Allies on Journey: Sai Meilan is an unwanted ally.
Enemies on Journey: Lynkeru and Mamuro/Yuki both have reason to kick Jason's

Sai Meilan
Age: (Before death) 20 (Including time dead) 1,020
Height: (Current) 1'4"
Weight: (Current) Unknown
Place of Birth: A far away region...
Date of Birth: She'd never tell.
Appearance: Meilan is a Duskull, a Ghost-type Pokémon native to the Hoenn
region.
Personality: Meilan is a dedicated individual of great intelligence and wisdom,
with great strategic skill and bravery. She generally is peaceful, and does not
seek out enemies, preferring the company of allies when and where she can find
them. However, due to her long period of, well, being dead, she is a bit cranky
on many occasions.
History: Sai Meilan, in life, was a young disciple of the Shaolin Temple, a
legendary school of martial arts established in ancient China centuries ago. As
part of the final stage of her training, Meilan was sent forth into the world
to learn, explore, and test her formidable fighting abilities. However, on her
way through what is now known as Hoenn, she became wrapped up in that era's
Shiny Unown hunt. In the end, she was killed by a rival. However, due to her
great spiritual strength and determination, Meilan was restored to life as a
Dusclops, allowing her some semblance of life and a chance at resurrection.
Should she herself collect the 26 Shiny Unown and win the prize, she will have
a chance at life again, something she most desperately wants.
After six hundred years of waiting and searching the world, Meilan realized
that some of the bonds holding her to life were fading. She quickly remedied
this by breeding with a Wobbuffet, then passing her spirit into her egg as she
created it. She emerged from the egg some time later, then went into a period
of isolation at Mt. Pyre until she sensed something far distant. This event was
the releasing of the Shiny Unown from captivity in Johto. After waiting nearly
three years, Meilan snuck aboard the SS Tidal as it prepared to launch from
Slateport City to Dewford Town, and then Olivine City. On the trip back to
Slateport, Meilan came in contact with Jason Cassidy, and forged a temporary
alliance with him to locate and capture the remaining Shiny Unown.
Hobbies: Meilan has a fondness for games, and is actually quite good at chess.
Pet Peeves: Meilan only has one great pet peeve: she dislikes those who
dishonor the martial arts, beyond and including the Shaolin fighting style.
Abilities: Being a ghost, Meilan can phase through solid objects and, if
needed, possess things. Also, she can detect the unique wavelength put out by
Shiny Unown, and her ability to detect them grows more accurate the closer she
is.
Attacks: Meilan knows Destiny Bond, Will-O-Wisp, Astonish, and Pursuit. Also,
so far as level is concerned, she is at the equivalent of Level 30.
Weaknesses: The entire reason that Meilan requires Jason's help is that she,
being a ghost, cannot take hold of solid objects. Thus, she requires the aid of
a solid mortal to find and capture the Shiny Unown. Jason seemed to be her best
bet at the time. Also, while she and Jason are Destiny Bonded to one another,
any pain that one feels shall be felt by the other.
Relations:
None living.
Allies on Journey: Jason Cassidy, more or less.
Enemies on Journey: Those also taking part in the quest for Shiny Unown that
refuse to negotiate with her.
Goals: Meilan wants to live again. After that, she'll find something to occupy
her time.
