The lists of Pokemon feature Pokemon that the Gym Leaders have used in the past - you should use them as a guide, but feel free to give them new Pokemon if you wish. He traveled through Kanto, the Orange Islands, Johto, and Hoenn before settling down in Cerulean City. His best friends are Brock and Misty. Gary Oak is his rival.
Brendan Birch

Drake of Pummelo Island
(Various)		 Drake of Pummelo Onix, Ditto, Gengar, Venusaur, Electabuzz, Dragonite Drake is the Orange League Supreme Champion. He battles Pokemon Trainers who earn all four Orange League Badges in Pummelo Island's Stadium. If you are able to beat Drake in battle, he awards you an Orange League Trophy.

Gabby is a TV reporter and Ty is her cameraman. They wander Hoenn, battling Trainers then interviewing them. They work for Mauville City's Pokemon News Network (PNN) affiliate.

(Ground)		 Giovanni Golem, Kingler, Persian, Dugtrio, Rhydon, Nidoqueen, Nidoking Giovanni was formerly the Viridian City Gym Leader, before the police in Kanto realized that he was the Leader of Team Rocket. He is still Team Rocket's Boss, but he has relocated to Team Rocket's Mahogany Town Base.

(Ice)		 Lorelei Dewgong, Cloyster, Lapras Lorelei was formerly one of Kanto's Elite Four. She gave her Slowbro and Jynx to Will when she retired. She is still a celebrity amongst fans of Elite Pokemon Trainers.

Max
(None)		 Max None Max is Norman's son and May's little brother. He traveled with Ash throughout Hoenn.
Maxie
(Fire & Dark)		 Maxie Crobat, Mightyena, Camerupt Maxie is the current Leader of Team Magma.
May
(Fire)		 May Torchic, Beautifly May is Norman's daughter and Max's older sister. She traveled with Ash throughout Hoenn.
Professor Birch
(Grass, Fire, & Water)		 Birch Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip Professor Birch is Hoenn's resident Pokemon researcher. He has a Lab in Littleroot Town and hands out starting Pokemon and Pokedexes to Trainers. He specializes in Pokeball field research. He has a wife and his son is called Brendan Birch.
Professor Elm
(Grass, Fire, & Water)		 Elm Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile Professor Elm is Johto's resident Pokemon researcher. He has a Lab in New Bark Town and hands out starting Pokemon and Pokedexes to Trainers. He specializes in Pokemon evolution. He has a wife and son.
Professor Felina Ivy
(Water)		 Ivy Gyarados Professor Ivy is the Orange Islands' resident Pokemon researcher. She has a Lab on Valencia Island and hands out starting Pokemon and Pokedexes to Trainers. She works with three girls who wear glasses and they specialize in Pokeball studies.
Professor Samuel Oak
(Grass, Fire, & Water)		 Oak Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle Professor Oak is Kanto's resident Pokemon researcher. He has a Lab in Pallet Town and hands out starting Pokemon and Pokedexes to Trainers. He specializes in Pokemon behavioral science. His grandson is Gary Oak, the Viridian City Gym Leader.

(Water & Dark)		 Shelly Mightyena, Sharpedo Shelly is a Team Aqua Administrator.
Shorts Kid AKA Youngster
(Normal)		 Shorts Kid Rattata Many Shorts Kids can be found throughout Kanto and Johto. They spread the philosophy that shorts are "comfy and easy to wear" and tend to battle anyone not wearing shorts using their trademark Rattata. Some of the Shorts Kids are actually robots.
Steven
(Steel & Rock)		 Steven Skarmory, Claydol, Aggron, Cradily, Armaldo, Metagross Steven is a Hoenn League Champion. He likes collecting rare stones.
Tabitha

Tracey Sketchit
(Bug)		 Tracey Venonat, Marill, Scyther Tracey used to travel with Ash Ketchum. At the end of his journey wish Ash, he settled down in Professor Oak's Lab in Pallet Town. He currently helps the Professor maintain the Lab.
