He's married, and by now, his entire life revolves around raising enough money for a lifesaving operation for his daughter - thirteen-year-old Shelley. Ironically, although material possesions are meaningless to Mike, anything that doesn't lead directly to money nowadays is a waste of time for him. Any time he has to spare is filled with money-making schemes. History: Mike got married while still studying technology at university. Debts led him to rent a small flat in Goldenrod. He got a job at ComComCom in order to help support his family, even though his wife already worked full-time. However, as time went on, the job become more and more important to him. He eventually developped a mild obsession with taking care of Mr Harrison, even though Mike was still convinced that he was only doing the job for his family. When Mr Harrison disappeared, Mike was promoted to head of the ComComCom Goldenrod branch. His job took over his life. Meanwhile, Shelley, his daughter, was - and still is - severely ill in hospital. Out of the blue, Mike was headhunted to work for an unbelievably well-paying job with a tour bus in Pewter City, Kanto. He's been working there for the last several months. Pokémon: Mike has a young Growlithe which he rescued from an animal rescue centre. He also has a Smoochum belonging to his daughter and a Whismur he's been paid to look after for a rich woman in Hoenn. Allies: Mike has absolutely no friends in Kanto. Enemies: Mike has had no time to make enemies...yet...
